A & J’s engagement session at The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled on Richmond’s iconic Monument Avenue, The Branch Museum is a Tudor-Revival masterpiece designed by the renowned architect John Russell Pope—yes, the same mind behind the Jefferson Memorial and the National Archives. With its rich history, stunning leaded glass windows, and meticulously preserved 16th-century plaster ceilings, the museum provides an incredible backdrop for any engagement session.

A & J had never had professional photos taken before, but you’d never know it from the way they eased into the session. We wandered through the museum's beautiful outdoor spaces and explored the tucked-away nooks inside, finding perfect spots by the grand windows and under the towering ceilings. J even said halfway through, “Oh, this is actually fun!”—which is exactly the goal. My approach to engagement sessions is all about keeping things light, playful, and authentic. It's not about stiff posing—it’s about creating natural moments that reflect the unique connection between each couple.
