That day, I understood that wedding photography isn’t just a job—it’s sacred. Being there for the intimate moments, like a first look, private vows, or the joy of seeing loved ones for the first time as a married couple, is a privilege I don’t take lightly.
Weddings are the beginning of a new chapter—a day where everything feels bright, sparkly, and full of promise. But what I love most about weddings is that the memories they hold aren’t just for the couple. They become part of a legacy.
After our wedding, my wife, Sabine, and I created a huge photo album, filled with images that captured the laughter, joy, and love that marked the start of our story. I hope one day, our grandchildren will stumble upon that album and experience a similar moment of discovery—a window into where it all began.

Hey there!
I'm Kieran Segaloff, and I love telling stories.
I fell in love with wedding photography during my brother and sister-in-law's elopement. They wanted to keep it intimate and asked if I could "snap a few pictures." From the moment they started getting ready—nerves mixing with excitement—to witnessing the joy when they finally saw each other at city hall, I knew something had shifted for me.
I saw my older brother in a completely new light. He was no longer the goofy teenager who snuck me extra Halloween candy or the extroverted life of the party at my college graduation. Seeing him and his partner together, surrounded by unfiltered, raw emotions, made me realize that wedding days transform us. Even if you've been living together for years, something changes when you say ‘I do.’ We shift just a little, stepping into something bigger than ourselves—a lifelong promise, a shared future, a new chapter in our love story.

For me it also goes deeper. Throughout history, so many LGBTQ+ love stories have been lost or forced into silence. I refuse to let more fade away. My mission is to celebrate and document love in all its forms—regardless of sexuality, gender identity, race, faith, or ability.
I am here to preserve your romantic legacy, ensuring that generations from now, your story will still shine. Because at the end of the day, I love love. It’s really as simple as that.

My Photography Journey
When I was 11, my grandmother gave me a pink Samsung point-and-shoot camera, and I haven’t put a camera down since. Growing up in Charlottesville, I photographed everything I could—chickadees in the backyard, sunrises over the Blue Ridge Mountains, and life along the downtown mall. By middle school, I was snapping photos for the yearbook, and in high school, I found joy photographing for the school newspaper and taking my first paid gigs doing senior portraits for friends.
Knowing photography was more than a hobby, I studied Photography and Print Media from Old Dominion University. In college, I explored photography’s power to tell stories. In 2020, I published two books of photography—one, a collection of poems and art photography reflecting on growing up queer, and the other, a journalistic exploration of the socioeconomic impacts on rural Southern communities during the early days of COVID-19.
After graduating during the pandemic, I took traditional marketing jobs, while doing portraits and weddings on the side while saving to launch my business. Finally, in June 2024, with my wife's encouragement, I took the leap to full time photography; Fingerprint Photo Studio was officially created.
